Canadian Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course
This course prepares youth with the skills and confidence needed to care for children safely and responsibly. Participants will build leadership skills, learn to make smart decisions, and understand how to manage a babysitting business.

Participants will learn:

• Responsibility and leadership skills
• Decision-making and managing difficult behaviors
• Basics of starting and managing a babysitting business
• Feeding, diapering, dressing, and playing with babies and children
• Recognizing and preventing unsafe situations
• Basic first aid and emergency response
• Child development stages and age-appropriate care strategies

• Date: Friday June 5th
• Location: Murray Yantha Community Centre, 2473 Russett Drive
• Time: 9:00 AM - 3:30PM
• Cost: $85 +HST Includes a pizza lunch & drink!

Registration and Payment Options

• Registration is mandatory.
• Pay Online: A 3% transaction fee applies to all credit card payments.
• Pay Later: Pay by cash or debit at the Township office, max 2 days before the program date.

Important Information

• Holidays: Classes are cancelled on holidays.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations will not be issued when less than 3 days notice is provided. The refund method depends on the original form of payment and may take up to four weeks.
• No refunds for requests received after this period.
• Unless otherwise stated, full refunds will be issued when programs are cancelled by the Township.
• Refund requests for programs that have already started will be considered only at the discretion of the Recreation Director. Approval of any refund, full or partial, will depend on the circumstances of the request and the portion of the program completed.
