Join us on Saturday, April 5th for a WSIB-approved Emergency First Aid, CPR, and Defibrillator course at the John A. Gillies Recreation Centre! This essential 6-hour course is designed for individuals ages 10 and older, providing the skills needed to assess and respond effectively to medical emergencies. Participants will gain hands-on experience in life-saving techniques, including CPR, the use of a public access defibrillator, and treatment for various medical emergencies like breathing issues, anaphylaxis, choking, seizures, diabetic emergencies, and wound care. This course could help you save lives!

Course Options:

• Full Course (Emergency First Aid, CPR & Defibrillator): $95.00 per person (6 hours)
• CPR & Defibrillator Only: $50.00 per person (afternoon session)

Skills Covered:

• Assessing and identifying emergencies
• Providing first aid for breathing problems and anaphylaxis
• Assisting with choking and using the LifeVac
• Responding to seizures and diabetic emergencies
• Wound care, bandaging, and slings
• Performing CPR and operating a public access defibrillator

• Time: 9 AM - 3PM (Full Course) and 12 PM - 3 PM (Afternoon Session)

Cancellations & Refunds

• Refunds are available if notice to withdraw is given 7+ days before the session starts.
• No refunds for requests received after this period.
• Refunds are issued if the Township must cancel the class due to a facility issue.
